Workshops for Ages 5 to 9
We appeal to those campers who enjoy hands-on activities, small teacher to student ratios (1 - 13), a relaxed atmosphere, and plenty of time for activities balanced with social time. Most workshops take place indoors in air-conditioned class areas, but everyone has an outdoor component to their workshop.
Learn more about Kidspace for ages 6-8 -- the one camp that goes swimming twice a week!
All of our camps for younger children allow for plenty of buddy time - socializing outdoors, eating lunch, playing in our shaded play area on swings, slides, or wooden structures. There's even a special garden space - a great place for magical creatures to rest during the day and for birds and squirrels to visit.
Workshops for Ages 8 to 11
For our 8 - 11 year olds, we have camps which focus on outdoor activities and others which focus on arts with hands-on, interactive activities, such as clay, painting, and creating outdoor art.Our workshops involve writing, planning,
team building, sharing ... in a nonacademic setting. There's plenty of sitting on the floor, spilling outside to the lawn, or walking in the forest.

For our young performers we have theatre camps as well as a comedy camp.
Our theater teachers have produced plays and been teaching theater arts in a school setting for many years. (See Staff)
Workshops for Ages 9-13
For our older performers, ages 10 up, we have classes in comedy as well as theatre. These camps put on performances for other camps and friends and families on Fridays -- a highlight of the camp experience. It's a great way for other campers to know what's going on in the workshops and an opportunity for our performers to shine. Check out A Total Act (ages 6 - 8), A Taste of Broadway (ages 9 - 13), Totally Theatrical, Backyard Broadway, and numerous Comedy Camps offered by DSI Comedy Club.
